Rasheeda Ramsingh and Sara Ullah
Weekend
Our action took place at a clothing store named Weekend on Jamaica Avenue one late afternoon.
About the artists
My name is Sara Ullah and I am a high school student at Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical High School in Jamaica Queens. I am in the commercial arts program at my school and I have been interested in the arts ever since I was little. I am also a youth docent at No Longer Empty, which is an organization that turns abandoned buildings, such as stores, into art exhibitions. My name is Rasheeda Ramsingh and I attend Thomas A. Edison high school. I am also in the commercial arts program at my high school. I have been able to further interpret art with what I have learned in this class and it's been a pleasure. My interests in life are to help people and also make a living through it. I want to live a life that I am proud of. I love art because it can be interpreted in many different ways and it's a very versatile form of expression.
